new teacher

i emailed my new teacher, i'm pretty excited. hopefully this will work out :)

so i think our presentation went really well this week. dr. mj seemed to enjoy it. i thought it was an interesting story and a majority of the class seemed to like it. now for our next presentation, we're going to do sort of a news story. we had a meeting to straighten everything out and figure out what we are going to do. only one person didn't show up, which is the best turnout we've had. it took a bit to agree on what to do. but we got it done. i'll be presenting this time. so we'll see how that goes.

this past week with the reading days and such, i completely forgot to write a blog! ah! my group didn't present this week. but we will this tuesday. i was really interested in learning about the blood diamonds on tuesday. i think i'm learning to like the class. i don't know that i'm necessarily getting out of it what i expected, but it's whatever. i like the internet and it seems to be a very important factor to the class. my favourite canadian told me about a new site. omegle.com it's like a website where you can just start a chat with a stranger. no screen names, no registration. it's completely random. i tried it out. he seems to be amused by it. but i think i might have just gotten a bad person. this person wanted to use it for more than just a friendly chat. gross. but i plan on bringing it up tuesday in class. and see if anyone else has tried it. it might be kinda sweet. i suppose i could have waited until tomorrow to write this, since my group it meeting tomorrow to do our project. bah whatever. i was really excited about this omegle thing.

podcast.

met up with the world group today. we did a podcast. half of the group wasn't there, what's new? we all knew this meeting was taking place, so i'm not sure why everyone couldn't show up. a lot of our podcast was just filler. it's whatever though. everyone that was there got along and it was an overall productive meeting.

this weekish

soooo this class is slowly starting to make more sense to me. Yetunde definitely helped our group out, so she's now my fav. our group has a lot of slackers in it, me being one of them. i wasn't really taking the group work seriously, but now that i got to know the other people in the group a little better and work with them to put together, what i think is a super sweet presentation. now i want to find out more information about wikis and that create your own social networking site we talked about today. i explained them to my mom. i can't wait to show her some of the stuff. i'm stoked to be able to get a break from class on friday to go home. i miss my parents and brother and foreman(my dog). i think i'll try to take a picture with him this weekend. and with my haircut :)

school and such.

i just found out i've been skipping a class all semester. now i'm bleh. but other than that my classes are going really well. i really like russian. but i think that might be because it's a small class and i get individual attention which is sweet. i'm starting to get used to this global media and new literacies class... i still don't know what delicious is, but i signed up for it. we'll see. i don't know what i'm supposed to write about in this blog. but i'm sure i'll figure it out as the class goes on. i think i want to keep the blog after i'm done with the classs. i love my "journal" on bodymod. but it's a different type of blog. that's more about keeping up with the status of what i'm doing as far as stretching my piercings. perhaps i'll talk a bit about that in this one. haha we'll see.
